These are calculations I made in milestone 4 to find the deflection of the blade given a specific thickness. Mine was 15mm. Along with that there are notes I took during the peer evaluation as the other group was presenting their wind turbine.
These are notes I took from the materials science lab that I found very useful and helpful when I was doing the calculations for deflection above. it helped me understand how the equations work generally, what they mean, and what their purpose is.
The following notes are from milestone 3B where I had to calculated the deflection of the blade again but with different measurements.
The following calculations are also from the materials science lab where we had to use the cold work simulation. These are just some calculations and notes I made while doing the quiz. I also found that looking at these equations made me understand their purpose and how they work a lot better.
